With the return of classic basketball models from brand's like Reebok, Ewing and FILA, most of us would agree that it's great to see some more variety hit the retro sneaker market. One brand that we weren't necessarily expecting to offer up some retro kicks was Dada (us at the Sole Collector office admittedly didn't even know they were still around), but much to our delight, they have with the return of Chris Webber's signature CDubbz.
The CDubbz from 2002, along with Latrell Sprewell's Spinners are Dada's most infamous foray into the athletic shoe market. The patent leathered and chromed-out CDubbz were one of the hottest shoes of 2002, available in a plethora of colors including "Wood Kit" options. CDubbz took center stage in the 2002 NBA All Star Game when Webber broke out an all-chrome-everything pair which helped set the trend of loud, eye-catching All Star footwear.
The Dada CDubbz are available now from Finish Line in three original colorways (unfortunately no all-Chromes) with the Black/Silver version that Webber wore on court, and two of the Wood Kit colorways in black and tan for the nice price of $89.99. Who's copping?
